Carbonia-Iglesias

The province of Carbonia - Iglesias is situated in the Sardinia region, in Italy. It includes the historical region of Sulcis-Iglesiente, and it is formed out of only 23 comuni. The province has 2 capitals, the cities of Carbonia and Iglesias and it includes 2 islands: the Island of San Pietro and the Island of Sant'Antioco. Carbonia - Iglesias is home for a very important Italian nature park, the Sulcis Natural Park, protected because it is one of the few nature areas left untouched in Italy. Iglesias is one of Sardinia's most beautiful cities, but the whole province is rich in monuments and ancient buildings, being visited by many tourists every year.
