The Province of Avellino is part of the Campania region, in Southern Italy. There are numerous villages and small towns across the province, making it a beautiful Italian pittoresque place to visit. The city of Avellino is the capital city of the province. There are many main sights to be seen in the province, tourist destinations include the Sanctuaries of Montevergine, great place for pilgrimage, archaeological areas and medieval small towns, natural attractions such as regional parks or the Monti Piacentini and there are also some ski resorts in the area, popular among tourists.
