The Province of Monza and Brianza is situated in the Lombardy region, in Italy. Created officially after splitting the north-eastern part from the province of Milan, the province became executive in 2009. It is one of the smallest provincial territories of Italy, with only 55 comuni forming it. The capital city of the region is Monza.
